Getting Started with PoliStock
Welcome to PoliStock. This guide will walk you through setting up your account and getting the full value out of the platform quickly.
What is PoliStock?
PoliStock is a market intelligence platform that monitors 30+ direct sources 24/7 and delivers AI-analyzed alerts about market-moving events directly to you — before they hit the mainstream news cycle.
Rather than relying on secondhand news coverage, PoliStock monitors primary sources directly: Truth Social, White House announcements, SEC 8-K filings, Reddit, Threads, financial forums, industry reports, and regulatory changes. When a market-moving event occurs at any of these sources, PoliStock’s AI pipeline analyzes its impact across 5,000+ stocks and delivers personalized alerts to your portfolio.
What PoliStock Does for You
- Real-time event alerts: Know about market-moving events as they happen, not hours later
- AI stock analysis: Clear bullish/neutral/bearish guidance on how events affect specific stocks
- Portfolio-personalized alerts: Connected to your brokerage, so alerts are tailored to what you actually own
- Warren AI consultant: Ask questions about any event or stock and get analyzed, contextual responses
- Natural Language Orders: Place event-based trades using plain English commands
- Historical event database: Access 16,000+ analyzed past events to understand patterns
Step 1: Create Your Account
Visit polistock.app to sign up. Creating an account is free — no credit card required to access the free tier.
The free tier gives you:
- Market event analysis with a 30-minute delay
- Monitoring of up to 3 volatility triggers
- Access to Warren for basic queries
- Full access to the event feed
Step 2: Connect Your Portfolio
Connecting your brokerage account is what makes PoliStock personalized. Once connected, PoliStock knows what you own and prioritizes alerts that affect your actual holdings.
To connect your brokerage:
- Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
- Select your brokerage from the supported list (includes Robinhood, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Webull, and more)
- Follow the secure authentication process
- PoliStock receives read-only access to your holdings
Security note: PoliStock never stores your login credentials. Your brokerage handles authentication directly. PoliStock only reads your holdings — it cannot execute trades without your explicit direct action.
Once connected, your dashboard will reflect your specific holdings and all event analysis will be filtered through what is relevant to your portfolio.
Step 3: Configure Your Volatility Triggers
Triggers are the specific sources and event types PoliStock monitors on your behalf. The free tier allows up to 3 triggers. Pro users ($4.99/month) get unlimited triggers.
Available trigger sources include:
- Truth Social posts from market-moving figures
- White House announcements
- SEC 8-K filings (new material corporate event filings)
- Reddit financial forums
- Threads
- Industry reports and regulatory changes
How to set triggers:
- Navigate to Alerts section
- Choose which sources matter most to your portfolio
- Set notification preferences (email, push notification)
Suggestion for first-time users: Start with 2-3 broad triggers that cover your highest-concentration holdings or most-watched sector, then refine as you learn which sources generate the most actionable signals for you.
Step 4: Explore the Dashboard
Your dashboard shows:
- Event feed: Real-time (Pro) or 30-minute delayed (free) stream of market-analyzed events
- Stock analysis: AI-driven bullish/neutral/bearish assessments for 5,000+ stocks
- Portfolio view: Your holdings with relevant event activity highlighted
- Warren: Your AI financial consultant — accessible directly from the dashboard
Step 5: Ask Warren Your First Question
Warren is PoliStock’s built-in AI financial consultant. A great first question to ask:
“What market events happened today that could affect [your sector or stock]?”
Warren can explain any event in plain language, tell you which stocks are affected and why, and provide context from PoliStock’s 16,000+ historical event database (full historical context available to Pro users).
To access Warren, look for the chat interface in your PoliStock dashboard.
Understanding the Free vs. Pro Difference
| Free | Pro ($4.99/mo) | |
|---|---|---|
| Event analysis | 30-min delay | Real-time |
| Triggers | Up to 3 | Unlimited |
| Warren | Basic | Full consultant |
| Brokerage sync | Manual | Auto-sync |
| Impact reports | Summary | Detailed + historical |
If you find yourself hitting the 3-trigger limit or notice the 30-minute delay affecting your ability to respond to fast-moving events, that is the right time to consider upgrading. You can upgrade directly from your account settings.
Natural Language Orders
PoliStock’s Natural Language Orders feature lets you write trading instructions in plain English and have them execute automatically when specified conditions are met.
Examples:
- “Buy $500 of energy sector ETF if White House announces new drilling policy”
- “Alert me to review my AMD position if any AMD-related SEC 8-K files”
Natural Language Orders are available to all users on the platform. See the Natural Language Orders guide for full details.
